Joel is the lead web designer for William & Mary, where he's lucky to work on the College's amazing Creative Services team. His current position is a satisfying mix of technical problem solving and graphic design.

When he's not working, Joel enjoys spending time outside, particularly hiking or camping. He's never met a National Park he didn't like — and one day he hopes to visit all 58.

Some of Joel's recent activities include:

• Presenting Photoshop Secrets for Eye-Popping Images at HighEdWeb 2009.
• Joining the Executive Planning Group for edUI 2010
• Communicating about W&M's Athletic Mascot Search on behalf of the College
• Creating and expanding a Flickr site for William & Mary
• Winning an "Excellence Award" from the University & College Design Association for user interface design
